  1. Method 1 · In the app

    Redeem in the Google Play Store app

    1. 1Open the Play Store app and tap your profile picture.
    2. 2Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Redeem code, and enter the code.
    3. 3Your Google Play balance is listed under Payments & subscriptions after redemption.
  2. Method 2 · Online

    Redeem on play.google.com

    1. 1Sign in to play.google.com and open the Redeem page from the menu.
    2. 2Enter the code from the card or email.
    3. 3The Google Play balance then appears in your payment methods and is used for apps, games, movies and in-app purchases.

Good to know

  • Google Play balances are tied to the country of the account — a card bought in the US redeems only to a US account.
  • The balance cannot be transferred to another Google account or withdrawn as cash.
  • Google never asks for Play gift card codes to pay a bill or unlock an account — that is a scam.
